Crash for cash

“jaw-dropping”  Radio Times

This documentary tells the inside story of Britain’s biggest ever crash for cash insurance fraud ring. The long-running scam involved more than 60 people in rural County Durham and put up the annual cost of car insurance in the area by £100. Although some of the culprits are organised criminals, many are just ordinary people.

The programme follows the investigators determined to stop the scammers who are costing insurers more than £1 billion a year.
